Monthly Love Horoscopes - July 2019
Things took a romantic turn in the latter days of June and this is a trend that will continue this month, in cascading degrees. At the start of the month the asteroid Juno and Mercury, the planet of communication are still in their early days in your romantic sector and as the only planets here, this is a small amount of focus when you consider the weight of influence in other areas of your chart. If this was it, then this would be considered a small romantic swing. Yet considering there has been no planetary activity on the romantic front since last September, any kind of swing is an advantage. It is just 48 hours into the month that there is a significant shift in weight towards all things romantic. The game changer is Mars' return on 2nd July, with his first visit in two years likely to really fire up your romantic passions and fighting spirit. Here for the rest of the month and into August, Mars will stay on as Mercury comes and goes, as the Sun returns on 23rd July and Venus, the planet of love on 28th July. By the end of the month, the lukewarm conditions at the start of the month will have become steaming hot. As each planet returns and the heat goes up, this will also see the support from forces on the adventurous front increase, with a potent cocktail of romance, passion and adventure taking hold. It is Mercury's retrograde turn here on 8th July that will open the doors to the past and second chances, while fuelling a sense of romantic nostalgia. While Mercury will retrograde back out on 19th July, he will return early next month to become part of a team that will include the Sun and both Venus and Mars, the planets of love and passion. A New Moon on 1st August will take everything building this month and use it as a stepping stone to even more romantic developments next month. The romantic drought of the first six months of 2019 is over.
There is no planetary activity on the romantic or relationship fronts this month, as is often the case for this time of year. With the first planets not reaching your romantic sector until next month, but then arriving on mass to kick off the most romantically charged months of 2019, this is a preparation month. There is a lot of focus on home and family matters this month and with this comes a chance to make your life as love friendly as possible, knowing that the most romantically charged months of 2019 kick off next month. The Moon's visit from 6th July to 8th July is a chance to get in some practice. In the meantime, while the first planet to reach your relationship sector this year is still several months away, on the relationship front the focus is more on communication and here there is a massive amount of support. You begin the month with Mercury, the planet of communication having just left your communication sector in late June and Mars preparing to leave on 2nd July. They both spent a lot of time last month pushing through communication barriers, something you will benefit from this month. For less than 24 hours after Mars leaves, a total solar eclipse will complete what Mercury and Mars began. It is less than 24 hours after this solar eclipse that Venus, the planet of love will return with the more specific task of giving your heart and relationships a voice. Venus is here then until 28th July so will be here when Mercury, the planet of communication retrogrades back in for a double dip visit on 19th July, bringing with him a chance to give the past and unsaid words a voice. The Moon's visit to your relationship sector from 10th July to 13th July is the perfect time to capture all that communication support.
You start the month in a good place on both the romantic and relationship fronts, with every reason for confidence on both fronts. A parade of planets through Gemini over recent months has created waves of relationship tension that ebbed and flowed, as each planet, in turn, opposed both Ceres and Jupiter, in retrograde motion in your relationship sector. The last opposition was between Venus and Jupiter, with the planets of love and luck able to wrap that period up with the best possible support. Even a Full Moon in your relationship sector last month contributed to getting everything out in the open. The month begins with a four month journey to establish what you want from your relationships and what they need from you in its final days and with the planet of love having the last say. Venus will spend the first three days of July in Gemini, finally ready to cement your romantic and relationship desires and expectations for the coming year. By this point, there is every reason for confidence. With Ceres turning direct in your relationship sector on 18th July, Jupiter early next month and relationship support increasing in the final months of the year, there is every reason for confidence. At the same time with the asteroid Pallas Athena in your romantic sector since November and now in her last full month, support from Venus in the final weeks of June has helped boost your romantic confidence. The Moon's visit to your romantic sector from 8th July and to your relationship sector from 13th July to 15th July, in both cases the first since Venus leaves Gemini, will help cement your romantic and relationship desires and expectations for the coming year.
The month begins with a strong sense of romantic nostalgia still in effect, the same romantic nostalgia that provided an escape from some tough relationship conditions last month. In preparation for her return to Cancer on 4th July, Venus is still in a nostalgic part of your chart where she has been taking your heart on a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane. With dreamy Neptune having turned retrograde in an adventurous part of your chart just before you moved into your new solar year, there is still a potent mix of romance, adventure and nostalgia in the air. This has created an opportunity to escape from and also balance out some of the personal and/or relationship tensions that may have come to a head in the second half of June. This was when Mars and Jupiter, the planets of passion and communication found themselves in opposition with Saturn and Pluto, in retrograde motion in your relationship sector. With Mercury already gone from Cancer and Mars leaving on 2nd July, they have managed to flush out any balance issues between your personal and relationship needs. The Sun and Venus, when she returns to Cancer on 4th July, will face the same push back. This time you will benefit from the breakthroughs already made, with the most severe wakeup calls already behind you. A lunar eclipse in your relationship sector on 17th July could see tensions rise again. This might be why Mercury, who left Cancer late last month will retrograde back in for a double dip visit on 19th July. This will provide a second chance to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. With Venus, the planet of love not leaving Cancer until 28th July, she will be on hand to help you see both sides of the fence.
In terms of the 13 months that Jupiter will spend in your romantic sector, the period from March to the end of June was always going to be the toughest. Not only is Jupiter in retrograde motion, but this is when a parade of planets that included the Sun, Mars, Juno, Mercury and finally Venus all moved into opposition. The last opposition was between Venus and Jupiter late last month where, as the planets of love and luck they were able to use any wakeup calls to your advantage. There are no more hurdles and as Jupiter spends his last full month in retrograde motion, he is using those wakeup calls to make the most of the doors still open to the past and second chances. Ceres, also in retrograde motion in your romantic sector will turn direct on 18th July and this is when the romantic tide will start to turn. This is just 10 days before Venus, the planet of love's return to Leo on 28th July, in time to welcome Jupiter's direct turn early next month. Yet in between any challenges over the last four months dropping back and the tide turning, a sense of romantic nostalgia is likely to increase dramatically. With both Ceres and Jupiter slowing down ahead of their direct turns this was always going to be the case, but a sense of romantic nostalgia will deepen dramatically when Venus returns to a nostalgic part of your chart on 4th July. Until returning to Leo on 28th July, Venus will take your heart on a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane, something she does in the weeks before returning to your sign each year. However, it has been 12 years since Venus took your heart on this nostalgic trip down love's memory lane while you have lucky Jupiter in retrograde motion in your romantic sector. As well as a sense of romantic nostalgia deepening, this will also be a chance to make the most of the doors open to the past and second chances.
On both the romantic and relationship fronts the focus is on the past and towards the end of the month, this will only deepen. Saturn and Pluto have been in retrograde motion in your romantic sector since April and not turning direct until September, they are in the heart of their retrograde phase. By the time Venus, the planet of love returns to a nostalgic part of your chart on 28th July the month long wind down to your old solar year will be underway, so a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane will be a lot more potent. Saturn and Pluto have been under pressure and that will continue this month, but these are the right wakeup calls at the right time. In the meantime, dreamy Neptune is still in the early days of his retrograde phase in your relationship sector. Having only just turned retrograde late last month and not due to turn direct until November, Neptune has just begun to take what has been an annual trek back over old ground, since his return in 2012. However, this year feels and is different. With Chiron, the planet of healing having left your relationship sector in February and not due to return for another four decades, for the first time since his return Neptune's retrograde phase won't include confronting old relationship ghosts. Instead, there is nothing but support, especially from a parade of planets through your friendship sector, providing the support for friendship and relationship building while the doors are open to the past and second chances. The Moon's visits to your romantic and relationship sectors were always going to be a valuable chance to check in, but on the romantic front a treat awaits. It is the Moon's visit to your romantic sector from 15th July to 17th July that will create a romantically charged lunar eclipse on 17th July. This will bring the element of fate into play, while the doors are open to the past and second chances. A visit to your relationship sector from 20th July to 22nd July is more a chance to check in.
As has been the case since Venus left your romantic sector at the end of March, there is no planetary activity on the romantic front and won't be until the planet of love returns again over Christmas. However, there has been more than enough input, both in the first three months of the year and during the course of 2018, to make the Moon's monthly visits enough to keep matters of the heart on track. The Moon will make its monthly visit from 17th July to 20th July, making it important to make time and room in your life for these romantically charged lunar vibes to stretch out, in order to have the maximum impact. In the meantime, while it is a different story on the relationship front, where there is continuous planetary activity all year, things do become quieter and also more reflective. Both planets in your relationship sector will turn retrograde this month. Chiron, the planet of healing on 9th July and Eris, warrior princess of the cosmos on 21st July and the timing couldn't be better. For with Jupiter in his last full month in retrograde motion in your communication sector and Ceres retrograde there until turning direct on 18th July, they're on hand to offer support and to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. There is also an increasing number of planets in your friendship sector this month with the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Venus all spending at least some time here this month. On the communication and relationship fronts, the planets are barely moving, as they slow down ahead of retrograde turns on the relationship front and direct turns on the communication front. Yet in your friendship sector apart from Mercury, the planet of communication who will turn retrograde there on 8th July, the Sun and the planets of love and passion are moving through quickly. As they do they will all make friendly contact with forces on the communication and relationship fronts, creating an auspicious month for communication, friendship and relationship building.
On both the romantic and relationship fronts what you have is a settling back and the focus shifting more to the long term. At the same time that dreamy Neptune is spending his first full month in retrograde motion in your romantic sector, Uranus is spending his last in direct motion in your relationship sector. Venus only left your relationship sector last month and having already visited both your romantic and relationship sectors this year and not due to return to either until next year, both are now settled in for the journey. Still in his early weeks in retrograde motion in your romantic sector, Neptune is barely moving, creating a potent sense of romantic nostalgia but with a lack of urgency. With Uranus turning retrograde in your relationship sector early next month, he will become slower as the month progresses. There are a few things that Neptune and Uranus, guardian of matters of the heart and your relationships have in common. The first is that they are either already in retrograde motion or preparing to, with both slowing down and settling in. The second is that they are both here until 2026 and with the faster moving planets having now all moved through your romantic and relationship sectors for the year, it has now become more about the journey. The third factor that Neptune and Uranus and therefore romantic and relationship have in common is that there are no real threats. With no planets on the other side of the sky there are no roadblocks or major challenges. The fourth factor that romantic and relationship matters share in common is the support they have. For Neptune and romantic matters that support is coming from a parade of planets through an adventurous part of your chart and in particular from Venus, with the planet of love there from 4th July to 28th July. At the same time, Uranus and therefore your relationships have the support of Saturn and Pluto, in retrograde motion in your communication sector.
Apart from the very early days of the month, the sole focus is on matters of the heart and that is why the love gods can afford to be patient. What they are standing back for, is a chance for Venus to make her final days in your relationship sector count. Before leaving on 4th July Venus, the planet of love is on a mission to boost your confidence as she urges you to continue to trust your heart. A parade of planets have moved through your relationship sector over the last four months beginning with Juno, queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships' return in February. Since then the Sun, Mercury, Mars and finally Venus have moved through. When Venus leaves on 4th July there will be no more planetary activity in your relationship sector and with major relationship developments in 2020, the early days of the month are vital for getting to the heart of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. When Venus leaves matters of the heart will have a chance to grab your full attention and they are set to do that in an exciting way. With Chiron, the planet of healing in your romantic sector until 2027 and Eris, warrior princess of the cosmos literally for decades, unlike relationship matters that are only active for a few months out of each year, they are always on the job. There are two exciting developments on the romantic front this month. The first is that both planets here are turning retrograde this month, Chiron on 9th July and Eris on 21st July. Once in retrograde motion they will remain in retrograde motion until December, beginning a long and this year a healing and cathartic nostalgic trip down love's memory lane. The other exciting development is the support from adventurous forces that will deepen throughout the month, including from Venus and Mars, the planets of love and passion. At the same time that a sense of romantic nostalgia kicks in, so too will a mix of romance, passion and adventure.
While the tension between the planets moving through your relationship sector and both Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, that came to a head last month will continue this month, it won't continue into August. This means this is something that can be resolved this month and is not a sign of things to come. Two things make this month not only important, but the month that everything until now has led up to and everything from now will lead on from. The first is that Mars' opposition with Saturn and Pluto last month has broken the ice. None of the oppositions this month will take you by surprise and that includes the lunar eclipse on 17th July. Mars' opposition with Saturn and Pluto was the most extreme and was the point when tensions between your personal and relationship needs came to ahead. This month the Sun and Venus will move into opposition with both, the Sun in the period from 10th July to 15th July and Venus on 17th/18th July and again on 21st July. However, this is not the same as when Mars clashed, with the warrior planet of the cosmos having fought back when under pressure. What the Sun will do is shine the solar spotlight on where any tension between your personal and relationship needs is coming from. You even have Mercury, the planet of communication retrograding back in for a short double dip visit on 19th July. As for Venus, as the planet of love she will be using this to strengthen your relationships and also to find the right balance, as she moves through your relationship sector from 4th July to 28th July. Venus won't be here when a solar eclipse in your relationship sector on 3rd July offers an opportunity for new beginnings and even a chance to push the reset button. However, Venus will not only be here when a lunar eclipse on 17th July will once again see your personal and relationship needs clash but will be in opposition with Saturn at the time. This will be a chance to get to the heart of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you.
Apart from the very early days of the month when Venus, the planet of love is in her final days in your romantic sector, the main focus this month is on your relationships and in an exciting way. The month begins with Mercury, the planet of communication and Juno, queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships already in your relationship sector, giving your relationships a dream start. Yet as neither are in a hurry and with Venus leaving your romantic sector on 4th July, they are happy to let matters of the heart and all things romantic go first. Once Venus leaves there will be no more planetary activity on the romantic front this year, so she will be working to make her final days count. Mercury, who will normally spend just 14 to 15 days in your relationship sector each year, doesn't usually have the luxury of waiting his turn. By the time you move into the new month, Mercury has already been here for four days, with just 10 more days to ensure the communication lines are open. Instead, Mercury already has the brakes on ahead of a retrograde turn on 8th July. This will see Mercury retrograde back out on 19th July, returning again next month to start over from the beginning again, with an opportunity for a complete do over. Until then, in retrograde motion from 8th July to 19th July, Mercury will be on a mission to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. Mars' return to your relationship sector on 2nd July, the Sun's on 23rd July and Venus, the planet of love's on 28th July, will see support for your relationships continue to build throughout the month. For much of 2018 Mars was in Aquarius, retrograding back and forwards, putting pressure on the North Node in your relationship sector. This time Mars is on the other side of the fence and none of last year's challenges are here. Instead, this is a mass coming together of the relationship gods to support both new and existing relationships.
When you have pressure between two areas of your chart there can be challenges and pressure, but when that pressure is on forces on the romantic front and they strong, resilient and ready to fight back what you have is an opportunity to push through old barriers. Mars has been fuelling your romantic passions and fighting spirit since he returned to your romantic sector in May and by the time he moves into the new month he is ready to hand over the reins. Those reins will be passed to the Sun when Mars leaves on 2nd July, knowing they are in safe hands. It is less than two hours after Mars leaves, leaving the Sun temporarily on his own that the Moon returns, an ordinary event that is set to have extraordinary consequences. Ordinary because the Moon returns every four weeks, with romantically charged lunar vibes in effect for a few days before moving on. However, this could have extraordinary consequences because the Sun and Moon have a date with destiny, aligning to create the most powerful and potent total solar eclipse here in two decades on 3rd July. It is less than 24 hours later and 12 hours before the Moon leaves that Venus, the planet of love will return to capitalise on everything the solar eclipse has generated. A solar eclipse is an opportunity for major new beginnings and the reason why this is a total solar eclipse is its close proximity to the North Node, the force that has been drawing your heart towards the future since last November. Even Mercury, who left your romantic sector late last month will retrograde back in for a double dip visit on 19th July. This will ensure that when the Sun leaves on 23rd July and Venus on 28th July, there is someone to hold the romantic torch all month. Developments on the romantic front this month will impact the rest of this year and into the first five months of 2020.
